About Us
We are currently working very hard to be the only childcare center in Michigan to be accredited in The Curiosity Approach. We are passionate about putting the needs of the children first! Cradle to Crayons Early Learning is not a daycare, but a school that is passionate about inspiring our little ones to be the “thinkers and doers” of the future. We are embarking on an incredible new approach to inspire children through curiosity, awe and wonder.
We invite you to spend some time learning about our classrooms and our center. We believe that we must partner with parents to fill a child’s early years with a nurturing environment of self discovery. We understand that partnering with parents is the key to making our center the best quality.

Through The Curiosity Approach, children learn using authentic resources, recycled materials, and loose parts. Our mindful and passionate team will look to create amazing play spaces for children, where they will have the opportunity to become inquisitive, capable learners. Our team is led by our Owner/Director, Heidi Luokkanen. Heidi has been an early childhood educator in the community for over 21 years. She is also a certified parent coach through JAI Institute for Parenting. She is a huge Early Childhood advocate, has a passion for young children, teachers, and has a desire to make a positve change for our future generations.
